Survivalism "code of conduct"

This is a topic that comes up fairly regularly. You see answers that
run the gamut from the values seen in the best of times, to people who
would shoot any travelers they don't recognize merely because the traveler
ventured into the shooter's neighborhood.

I can't think of any justification for shooting trespassers. There are
people who relish the thought of the breakdown of government and
society, who entertain fantasies of shooting unarmed trespassers in
defense of their little stronghold. This sort of thinking is a disgrace
to humankind and also to survivalism.

Those who give up their moral compass, their sense of empathy, and
their sense of fairness, have already lost that which they seek to defend.
